You are seeing this error because the content you are attempting to access may be restricted due to ratings or availability rights. However, this does not necessarily mean that you cannot stream and watch the title. You simply need to troubleshoot the error, which should resolve the issue.

Solution: 1 Check whether the content is available in your country/region.

 Disney Plus has been gradually expanding to different countries since its launch, with the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands being among the first to have access to its library. Over time, it has reached Australia and Europe, including countries such as the UK, Italy, Germany, and France. It is hoped that in the next few years, citizens in Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region will also be able to enjoy the exciting, jaw-dropping, and spine-chilling content.

Despite its global reach, not all content is allowed in some countries. Due to local laws, certain movies may not be available in the Netherlands and France.

Solution: 2 Disable the Kids Mode.

 

All OTT platforms have parental restrictions as most of the amusing content is 18+ rated.

So Disney Plus provides you with Kids Mode so you can give access to your Disney Plus without worrying.

Go and check if kids mode is enabled that might be the reason you are getting error code 22.







If enabled, disable the kid's mode that should fix your issue.

How to Setup Parental Control for Disney Plus.

You want to give your children access to Disney Plus but you are worried about them watching series or movies that are Age-restricted.

Here I will briefly teach you how to set up parental control.

 

  1. When logged into your Disney+ account from any device, tap on the current profile name.

  2. Select Edit Profiles.

  3. Choose Add Profile.

  4. Next, select an image for the new profile.

  5. Type in a Profile Name.

  6. Toggle Kids Profile to On (this disallows PG and PG13 content for the profile).

  7. Choose Save.

Note that the built-in Disney+ controls don’t prevent children from switching to a profile that enables all content. In other words, almost any school-aged child can quickly bypass the Disney+ parental controls.

Although Disney Plus offers parental controls to help families manage content access, the implementation is not without limitations. For example, children can easily log out of their profiles and access their parent's profiles, potentially exposing them to content that the parents may consider inappropriate. However, for younger children who tend to remain within their designated profile, this may be less of a concern.

Furthermore, parents have limited control over what is considered appropriate for their child, as the "Kids Profile" setting is binary, and parents cannot further customize content access. Solution:3 Check Your VPN.

 

The other reason you are having error code-22 is that you are using a VPN.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) can also be used to access the geo-restricted content on Disney+. With a VPN, you can connect to a server in a different location, making it appear as though you are accessing the service from that location, and bypassing any geo-restrictions in place. However, it is important to note that not all VPN servers may be able to access all content due to licensing agreements and other restrictions. To ensure that you can watch the video you want, connect to a VPN server that is located in a country where the content is available and that does not impose any additional restrictions. Additionally, using a VPN can potentially impact your connection speed, so you should choose a high-quality VPN provider and server to minimize any potential slowdowns in streaming quality.
